Econo Lodge Harrisburg - Hershey

This property is most definitely not as purported!! It is unhealthy, unclean and unsafe. The first room we were assigned was so bad we asked to be moved. The second room was no better. The floor was sticky to walk on, there was black mold on the bathroom wall under the sink and there was a clicking sound in the wall by the light switch that sounded like an electrical short. The smoke detector was missing from the ceiling bracket and there was the strong odour of pot in the hallway.The inside door handle leaver was broken off leaving a sharp edge and the heater/ AC unit was taped together with duct tape. The hair dryer did not work in either room.|We attempted to get our 5 day prepaid stay refunded but because we had booked with Priceline, the manager said we would have to go through them.

Dissapointed. The desk chair looked like two cats had a fight on it, there was a wad of gum stuck to the side of the tv table in the bedroom, the security lock on the top of the door was broke, the whole door latch piece was not securely attached to the door so definitely would not trust the safety of it, wooden furniture very old and scratched up. Bathroom was decent but didn't bother to use shower. Will not be staying at Choice Hotels in the future.

With a sold out market, I had no other choice, but to choose this hotel that should’ve been my first warning. Upon entering the building out came the Night Shift person that looked like they were sleeping. There were two different sets of shoes that were placed outside of the door behind the dust to which they came out of Upon entering the room. I was welcomed with friendly cockroaches, running amongst the room a room that had not been cleaned and had different bodily fluid substances on the wall, curtains and floor moving onto the bathroom. There was mold that was piled thick in the shower. This is not what choice hotels Warrants for a friendly, clean, comfortable accommodation. Don't stay here. I would give this place zero stars if I could. The rooms all smell like bug disinfectant. The bathrooms were not clean. I saw lots of hair from the previous occupants there. Also lots of roaches.

The bathroom light kept turning on by itself. There were two conditioners, but no shampoo. There was an empty soap wrapper on the sink. Sheets were very wrinkly. I don't have high standards, but there were so many little things that made it apparent that the owners/management aren't taking pride in their work at this location.
