East Fork Yurt

This was a super cool experience, but could have been better. The zipper and Velcro to one of the 3 windows wouldn't work, so while we were getting up around the clock (every 2 hours) to feed the wood burning stove, it could not keep up with the single digits outside. We noticed in the morning that the door had quite a bit of air coming through around the door jam as well. It hovered in the low 40s by morning in the yurt. All but one of us had appropriate sleeping bags, and the one who did not said it was the coldest night of her life and she couldn't feel her feet. We had 4 kids under 9, including a baby so it would have been nice to know ahead of time that it would be a very cold night! For the price, I feel that these should be better insulated to keep guests comfortable. We loved the

My family really loved this experience. They want to make this a yearly tradition. We backpacked all of our gear in and stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. Can't wait to go back.
