Dutch Gardens Inn

Stayed at the Dutch Garden Motel (lighted sign in front says Scottish Inn) in October 2006. Booked non-smoking room with king bed (assigned to Rm 7). Room was large with new bedspread, curtains and carpet. Bed was comfortable, other furniture in room was a little worn in some places. Bathroom has been renovated or is undergoing renovations. The new counter for the sink does not completely cover the position of the old sink where it was attached to the wall. The wall was marked and it hasn't been patched/painted. Bathroom floor and shower surround were in good condition. Mini-blinds on bathroom window were quite dusty. Individual thermostat in room was great. Motel has two storeys. The resident(s) above us were moving about in the middle of the night and they could be heard from

Been calling for weeks looking for a room , does anyone ever answer the phone ? Is it closed ?

I’m regards to Steward Heckman’s comment, I’d like to say, when his family left, the room was beyond filthy! The carpet was so dirty that your feet stuck to the floor when you walked on it. The mattresses they slept on were black from them being dirty. The bathroom had poop on the walls, floor and toilet. The room was totally destroyed. So when he talks about how dirty it was, it was by their own doing. They lived worse than pigs in their own filth. The room had to be gutted and redone.

I had to move my family out of there, because when we first moved in like 7 years ago, it was a great place to live. Then over the years they rent to ppl that brought cockroachs into the hotel and the owners knew about it and refused to do anything about it. This place is the biggest dump I have ever lived in. I will never stay there again. If your not friends with the owners they jack your rent up and if you are, it's free rent. This place should be condemned.

My husband and I stayed at the Scottish Inn in October of this year (2006). At the first sight of the office which was cluttered and not particularly clean I was skitterish about staying there. The reviews we had read on Trip Advisor let us know we were not booking a top motel - the owner/manager??? couldn't have been nicer to us, made sure we had every thing we could possibly want to make our overnight stay pleasant.|The motel isn't as clean as I would have liked, but I can honestly say I have paid a lot more for much less cleanliness. The king bed was comfortable, the furniture well worn, the towels skimpy and hard, but for an overnight in the area it is okay and the price is absolutely right.|
