Drift Palm Springs

We truly enjoyed our stay at Drift Palm Springs. The room that we were given was upgraded from what we booked and truly appreciated. We had great food and drinks the first night at Maleza. The staff were friendly and the food delicious. We were given a two bedroom suite, which was amazing! There were a couple of quirks to this room. One is the kitchen, which has a full-size refrigerator and stove does, but does not have a microwave, which was a little more difficult to reheat our leftovers. I agree with other reviews that the mirrors in the bathroom with the black spots all over them are very difficult to see with. In all, we loved the location…totally walkable to downtown with all the amenities that Palm Springs has to offer. Thank you Drift Palm Springs for an awesome stay!

Just a normal hotel. We stayed here on points thinking it was going to be this fantastic modern hotel and we just found it to be basic and minimal. The shower was nice. The rooms were concrete floors with a rug under the bed. It was nice to have a hotel with a key pad instead of a card to keep tract of. The check in process was lacking. The people were nice but we were told we would get a text to check into our room and we never did. We were able to leave our luggage with them though. The bar in the hotel was the BEST! The drinks and food were fantastic and the bartenders were amazing.

I wanted to love this hotel so badly. For the price, it's a pretty big disappointment. We splurged (and I do mean splurged) for a two bedroom suite, assuming decent amenities would be there, given the Marriott branding. There is no check in staff. It's all done via app. There is no cleaning per day unless you ask 24 hours in advance AND pay a fee. That is wild to me for a $900 + a night hotel. I love a modern aesthetic but the sparseness of this place was almost comical. We had four people in our party in the two-bedroom suite, and there was one sofa and an uncomfortable chair for us all to share in the main room. That was it. We had studio with no closet or draws = not good. Very small room. Good bed and linens. Large deck with very uncomfortable chairs. The text messaging communication was annoying. Nice staff. Great downtown location. Free and easy parking. Nice pool long enough for lap swimming.

Used a bunch of Marriot points and not worth it. There is no desk and everything text to you, even room door keycode so dont run out of juice here. Had a challenging check in and drinks that were comped ended up on check out folio. I dont recommend when there are so many other boutique hotels with impeccable service and make you feel welcome.
