Dragonfly

Great stay all around! Patty was a great host & it started when I confused check in time and showed up 3 hours early. She didn't even mention it and gave me a tour. Perfect amount of space for a solo or couple trip. Clean space, bed was comfortable, and there was a large soaking tub. Both mornings I had a pastry and fruit set outside my room. There was a keurig coffee machine set up and milk in the fridge. It was a cozy stay and could not recommend it more!

Room, location, amenities, people, all great. Gloucester, the ocean, the food, all great. I stayed there twice so far and both times lovely. Will stay there again soon. The sea is a 5 minute walk. Downtown Gloucester is a 5 min. drive. Boston is a 30 min. drive. Gloucester is very friendly and charming.

We were in town for a wedding and chose the Dragonfly inn because it was within walking distance to he wedding site and was affordable for the area. Our first impression was not great. There was no sign on this property. We has to call the owner ahead of time to let her know when we were close, even though she lives in the home. Basically, the rooms are located in her home. Yes there is a sepaarate entrance on the side....but the whole time we felt as if we were invading someone's home. We were never really shown around the house...and the entire time we felt that we were intruding, so we tried to spend as little time there as possible. No one actually gave us this impressions, in face we rarely saw anyone, but we were clearly staying in a home. Our rooms were up a short staircase...right

Looking forward to going back there. The people are so nice. The home-made food is so great. I miss it. Well located, near the ocean, and very quiet, no traffic. New shower in old style house. Price is low for the area.

In December 2018, I stayed again at the Dragonfly Inn, for my second visit in a few years, and again was charmed by the people, the house, the location in Gloucester, and the sea. I hope to keep coming back all my life.
