Inn at Good Harbor Beach

What can I say? Literally just got home from our 8 day stay at Good Harbor Beach Inn and am reflecting on all the fun we had. The staff...Gino, Jody, Jane, Laurie and all the cleaning staff all made our stay amazing from the moment we checked in. The Inn is dated but we noticed the small things that the new owners have done to spruce things up and to ensure guest safety! We love the quaintness of the inn and that it isn't your cookie cutter hotel. The beds are comfortable, the towels match, and the rooms are dated but are CLEAN. Yes updates do need to be made and while we were there we learned of an extensive renovation plan set to take place to make our favorite place to stay even better in 2024. Good Harbor Inn best spot in Gloucester on the best beach in Massachusetts, Good Harbor Beach! Near many great restaurants under 2 miles away. Perfect for anyone young, old, family, girls weekend, guys weekend or alone! We have stayed here as a family 7 summers, 4 nights is always perfect for us. We started staying here 12 years ago my son was 6 months, (baby friendly) the room is steps to the beach and have stayed in about 6 of the 18 rooms, second floor, and many on the first level. Most have similar set ups, and most have some sort of view of the beautiful ocean. We took a break during covid. We are back and the inn is much more comfortable. The staff is great. Wiped down the patio tables after overnight rain so we could have our breakfast overlooking the beach.|Nice breakfast selection.|The location can't be beat. Right on the beach.|Our room had a bay window looking directly at the beach. Loved the sound of the waves at night. |Room was clean and functional if a bit dated.|It would be nice to have a place to keep sandy shoes outside.

We could not be more pleased wirh our stay at the Good Harbor Beach Inn! Not only are you right on Good Harbor beach, which is incredible on it's own. Every single staff we encountered were absolutely AMAZING!!!!! They take great pride in their hotel and are so friendly and helpful. Delicious continental breakfast that you can enjoy with an ocean view. I would absolutely recommend The Good Harbor Beach Inn and we will definitely be going back!

This is a tough place to review fairly or adequately. We have been coming here for nearly 3 decades and the rooms are virtually unchanged and dated when we first arrived. There are probably 2 dozen local lodging options with better rooms but not one matches the location. Let me clear, rooms are dated but not shabby or dirty. Spend the whole day on the beach, no parking worries, your own private bathroom is right here, fall asleep to the sound of the surf. New owners are promising significant upgrades to the rooms in 2024, we'll be here.
