DoubleTree by Hilton San Diego Bayside

The rooms are newly remodeled. The carpet smelled fresh on the hallway towards my room.||The environment is perfect in Point Loma. Walking on the pier was smooth. Good food and customer service. ||There are free chocolate chip cookies, that are good. The housekeeping have an attitude.||There wasn't a better way to spend my New Year's Eve and Day than being here.

Positive: Seemed to have great amenities like pool and games. Really close to the airport! Negative: There was old food left on our room fridge that was very smelly when we opened the fridge door. Just an oversight. The layout of the bathroom was odd and the shower was really stiff to turn on.

Affordable stay with a great location near the airport and with convenient access to major roadways. We were upgraded to the renovated rooms. They were decent and the beds were comfortable. If youd prefer to spend your money exploring San Diego rather than paying more for a room I highly recommend.

Amazing hotel loved the stay. The entire staff was super friendly and accommodating from the shuttle guy, front desk, housekeepers and bartender. Lovely pool spa area and nice gym. Great rooms and location is less than 10 minute drive to airport. Great hotel bar with lots of TVs and good drinks menu. The cookie and water was tasty. No complaints would def stay here again

One of the nicest hotels we've stayed in lately with excellent customer service. Damian, at front desk check in was amazing! So friendly, fun, caring and professional. Check in was a breeze! Hot cookies were a wonderful surprise too! Room was large, bed was comfy and awesome comfy supportive pillows. Somehow many hotels have lost the GOOD PILLOW service NOT this hotel. I had such a good night sleep!! Very clean throughout and several amenities available. We stayed in building 5. Quite a walk with luggage from lobby area and nowhere to park nearby to drop off luggage. There could have been a better way or golf cart to help get to rooms at furthest building. We arrived late in the evening. Pickup at San Diego airport was a bit slow and the hotel shuttle too small with not enough room
