Overall the Hilton was perfect. Yes the rooms are a little dated but they had everything you needed and we're clean. The lifts were slow with a lot of people but the staff were nice and the location is good, out of the madness and with two tube stations nearby. Breakfast was basic but just what was needed. Overall it's a solid hotel at a good price.
We booked this hotel for the NYC marathon, and had an overall pleasant experience! If you are running the marathon, this place is PERFECT. 3 minute easy walk to the ferry. This was beyond helpful to remove race day jitters. The hotel is exactly what you'd expect in NYC, small rooms, but comfortable and got the job done. The bed was so comfortable!! The elevator situation is unfortunate, but we only had a real issue with waiting upon checkout. Do what we did, go up to go down! It took a while (25 minutes or so to get fully out), but based on other reviews, we accounted for it in our timing. Bell desk was a bit chaotic, and we did have to go into the luggage ourselves in order to find our bags., but thankful for the service being provided at all!
Stayed here for 5 nights at the start of December, 26th floor, king room. We checked in just before 4pm, it was quick and easy. There’s 3 lifts and we never had to wait more than a few minutes for 1, I imagine during peak hours this is slightly longer but we never had any issues. The room was large, clean, comfortable and had enough storage for a couple. A subway is at the end of the street and there are so many great bars/restaurants round the corner. We didn’t spend too much time in the hotel overall, but for the price, location and quality I’d definitely recommend staying here again.
Very nice stay at the hotel. Room was very clean and quite spacious. It gets very busy around checkout time as everyone is trying to go down with all the luggage. We waited very long for the elevators to get empty for us to fit in. Be prepared!
Room was nice enough for a quick trip for a solo person. There were only three elevators in the building and they are very small and run slowly. The morning of checkout two of three elevators were not working. After waiting 20 minutes for an elevator to arrive at the 14th floor, I had to lug my heavy suitcase and my backpack down 14 flights of stairs. The only explanation given about the elevators was “sorry“. It was a good location for me to walk to my business meetings that were within a few blocks. Also a good location to stay if you are going over to the 911 Memorial and museum. Other than for the location, I would not stay here again
