DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Largo/Washington DC

All of the staff members we encountered at this hotel were extremely rude and unprofessional. The only person who was pleasant was the hostess at the front who seated us before we went to the bar. The front desk staff had nasty attitudes and were very unprofessional. Working in a hotel is a customer service job, but the staff behaved as if they did not want to be there. The tall, slender man at the front desk was particularly rude, and the other front desk staff who were working on 3/7 around 6:00 PM were also very unpleasant. At the bar, the bartender (a woman with locs) was very rude and dry. I have never experienced such unapproachable behavior from a bartender before. We booked through a travel partner and I certainly didn’t do my due diligence as I never assumed a hotel as such would be included in this traveling groups inventory, to put it nicely. The key did not work upon arrival, a 10-15 min wait for maintenance to update the keypad. Maintenance was friendly. The chocolate cookies were not ready upon arrival, but we were told they were cooking (never received any) the workout room was decent and we used that 2 of the 4 days we stayed. We never went to the pool but it was open. We stayed Dec 28-Jan 1 and the night of the 31st we were woken up to what was clearly a large group of younger people whom had rented a room And they were yelling, fighting, running up and down the hallways. I stayed there for 2 nights. Friendly staff and we got welcome cookies. The location is quiet and free parking is provided. The room is clean is spacious. We had a good time during our stay.

- key card or component that scans the card sometimes doesn’t work (overheard that someone else also had this issue) - housekeeping doesn’t change bedsheets it seems (at least if you stay in your room consecutively) The staff is always helpful but these issues continue to remain unrecognized. The only reason I’m rating this decently is because my previous experiences here were better. Please try to maintain this hotel like before. Thank you

We took our men's collegiate soccer team to the MD/DC area for a three day trip and can not say enough at how well we were treated by the staff....especially Mr. Akili Henney. He went out of his way to make us feel like we were his top priority. From checking in on us over the phone on a daily basis to doing just the little personal touches....he made us feel like family. If he treats a group of 30 like this I can only imagine how well he treats individual families.
