Doran Campground

Wonderful campground, the host was super low-key. No Hastling people just trying to chill and weather the storm! We woke up with a van that wouldn't start and she was the ONLY one that agreed to give us a Jump- THANK YOU! There is only ONE complaint of sorts...The men's shower was short the 5 minutes. The ladies .....at least 8min!!! Thanks, see you again💜🌄

Doran had beautiful sand dollars that were digging into themselves in the sand. It is dog friendly and is a nice coastal walk. We didn't camp there. We were exploring.

Lovely experience!!!! The park's upkeep is impressive. Flusing toilets and showers! 👍👏 Potable water as well. The local population consists of friendly individuals who balance their sociability with respect for others' privacy. A significant advantage of this location is its proximity to the harbor, dock, fishing, and crabbing areas. Moreover, there is an array of restaurants and local stores in the surrounding area. On our initial night, the wind was substantial, reflecting the typical weather patterns in Bodega Bay. Conversely, the subsequent day was flawless, underscoring the necessity of flexibility in the face of changing weather. As night falls, the soothing sound of waves crashing against the ocean shore lulls you to sleep. It's definitely one of my favorite spots in Northern Califo

This place is very popular, so reservations are almost always fully booked during holidays. However, you can sometimes secure a spot due to cancellations from existing reservations. It is well known for crabbing. Kids can enjoy playing on the beach while catching clams and crabs, making it an ideal spot for natural outdoor activities. However, since the campground is surrounded by the sea, it can get quite cold when the wind blows strong. Each spot has a water faucet, a fire pit, and a table available.

This was a great 3 night stop. Really Great of leash dog beach! (when the tide allows) on the bay side. A HUGE beach on the ocean side. I fit my 35' class a in a site marked 26'. It fit fine with our tow vehicle parked in the spot as well... Price was nice, although it was 10 bucks if ya wanted firewood and $2 for a five minute shower.
