Doheny State Beach Campground

Very convenient beach campsite in south OC. One can walk to nearby restaurants and cafes. However, it is overdue for maintenance. Beach shower are out of order and roads and pedestrian pathways need paving and renewal. The campsites are very tight or closely spaced. Thankfully the temporary neighbors we had were friendly and quiet. This would be better operated by OC Parks.

Really nice campground. Can hear the waves at night. Restroom are cleaned each day by the staff. Make sure to check out the beach right around sunset. You will see calm waters and a beautiful sunset.

Very nice campground right within town. Beach front spots available but fill up fast and early. Staff and security on site is really friendly. Spots are great for a tent, small rv or van. Large beach with plenty of private space

Well used, older amenities. However, the beach and California Beach life was fun and inviting. Live music at DoHo Cafe, good food.

My stay here was fantastic. The beaches were beautiful, and bathrooms were cleaned every morning along with the trash. Campsites are pretty close to each other and there's a few trains that run through the night that may wake you up but in all it's completely worth it. Each campsite had a concrete picnic table and a fire pit. I loved my stay and can't wait to go back!
