Doe Valley Campground

We've stayed at this location multiple times. The view is gorgeous at sunsets and sunrises. All amenities work amazingly. Fast wifi, great water pressure, no issues with electric. I recommend this spot for anyone looking for a great spot to relax and recharge. We're very thankful.

This was our 3rd time staying at Doe Valley Campground. It is a nice quiet spot with friendly hosts. This was our first time in the camper during winter and I messed up causing the water connection to break due to freezing up. The maintenance crew found it before I did and fixed the problem immediately. They even explained what I did and how to keep it from happening again. There was no blame only helpfulness. Great view of the mountains and pasture along with seeing quite a few deer in the evening and early morning.

Foreword: My wife & I are full-time RVers who have been living this lifestyle for about 3 years going all over the country in all kinds of different campgrounds (but always targeting parks with FHU since we work 9-5 online jobs M-F). Unless otherwise specified, the ratings/commentary are from that perspective rather than specific to campgrounds in this particular area. Pros: * Beautiful views (both from within the site/campground & driving around the surrounding area) * Extremely friendly staff * VERY competitive pricing * If you enjoy nature, there's plenty to do within a relatively short drive * There's a gas station within a mile that also sells firewood * There's a pretty decently sized grocery store (Food Lion) 20min away in Mountain City (along with a handful of fast food options) *

After searcing up and down the mountain range from border to border and visiting over 50 campgrounds, THIS is the best out there. It's smaller and has a community feel, rural with AMAYZING views, is on 100 acres itself but backs up to 9,000 acres of Doe Valley Recreation land with awesome trails (hiking, biking, motor sports) and has amayzing owners at a GREAT price. We sold our house in Texas, bought an RV until we figure our our next step and I told my husbad I would rather die here than go back to Dallas.

This campground was quiet, clean and peaceful. It’s also dog friendly which is really nice. There are pull through sites that are easy to get setup in and the sites aren’t too crowded. I really enjoyed my stay there and will definitely be staying there again next time I’m in the area!
