Disney's Art of Animation Resort

Positive: Large suite-style room with two full bathrooms! Access to Skyliner transportation. Negative: Room was large but once the beds were down, there was no room for the extra chairs and we were tripping over them. Cold, weak showers - never got hot even though it was turned all the way to hot. Quick service area was very crowded. Pool was crazy cold.

Excellent location with great transportation options. The room was well appointed and laid out, though the kitchenette was less than expected. Only a coffee maker, microwave, and small fridge. A kettle would have been a nice addition. We did have a cute little house gecko as a guest but maintenance came over to capture and release it. It was cold so we didn't get a chance to use the pool or explore the resort like we wanted to. The restaurant was good but the portions are too large and accordingly priced. Would be nice to have half portion options at lower prices. This place is geared toward young families, so be prepared for a lot of loud kids and noise.

I have nothing but good things to say! So many good things! Most important, the people who work there are amazing. They were so helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. They made the trip so much better. The resort was stunning. Just beautiful with so many hidden gems. I found something new to admire every day. The food was consistently good and they had something for everyone. I had a party of five that included one very picky kid and two teens. They ate well all week. We ate at the resort for at least 1 meal a day. They were always super busy but the lines moved fast. The different pools were my kids favorite part. Such a festive and fun setting. This was our families first time to disney world. My mom, myself and my two children. We stayed in the lion king family suites. The hotel main lobby area and outside landscaping are beautiful but the rooms are subpar. After less than 12 hours we all woke up with congestion, headaches and runny eyes which then became coughing. My families symptoms would improve immediately once going outside however I'm immune compromised and symptoms lasted longer. We discoverer mold in the vents (which means it's an hvac wide system issue so switching rooms wouldn't have mattered). We didn't discover the mold until our last night by standing on a chair and shining light into the vents. We've been home less than 24 hours and all of us feel better. We stayed at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort for two nights. The check-in process was fast and smooth, and the staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful. On the downside, the food court experience was disappointing. The service there was not good, and the area also felt somewhat dirty, which was unexpected for a Disney property. Our room, however, was a positive surprise. We were upgraded to a larger room than the standard one, and it was spacious and comfortable. The room was themed after the Disney movie Cars, which was fun and very well done, especially for families.
