Devils Lake Sportsmans Lodge

The cleanest and one of the best hotel/sportsman lodge I have ever stayed at. My husband loves to ice fish and we love adventures being said I have stayed at many lodges throughout our time. From the reservation to the check out was so simple and clear communication the whole way through! I even had a slight omg we are stuck in the snow phon call and the owners lead us to the right place. I appreciate the stay so much! We will be back. Very pet friendly to add so the fact the room was so clean and comfy I wish I could give them 100 stars! Thank you we look forward to our next stay.

Anyone considering staying here should read the one-star reviews carefully before booking. A consistent theme shows up: complaints or differing opinions don’t seem to be handled professionally. Instead, people report being dismissed or even asked to leave rather than having issues addressed. Kevin Koeshall, the owner, appears to run the business with a “my way or the highway” mindset. For an ex-cop, the behavior described comes off less like leadership and more like bullying. Disagreement is treated as disrespect, and customer feedback doesn’t seem welcome unless it’s praise. If you’re the type who never questions anything and just keeps your head down, you’ll probably be fine. If you expect basic customer service or open communication, this may not be the place.

The rooms are as pictured and are quite cozy. The showers have great pressure and hot water. The cleaning staff are amazing and quick to clean. The Lodge owners are awesome! Quick to respond, and they have great pricing. Definitely would recommend staying here.

Great place to stay. Rooms were clean, maybe use more of a neutral scent in the rooms for those who are more sensitive to stronger smells. Only other thing that sucked was that the parking spot literally right in front of our room door, had another car parked there the second night. Overall, check in was seamless and the stay was great!

I would say this is a nice and quite place to stay and enjoy but one thing I dislike or concern about is they need to do a better care of their towels and pillow cases. My fiancé and I were there couple weeks ago and we rented a room there. We've noticed their towels were dirty with a smell and also when laying on the pillow it has a bad odor smell like the pillow has already been used by someone and it hasn't been wash yet. Other than that we enjoy staying there.
