Desert Motel

I stayed here the night June 28, 2025, on a long drive from Texas to California. The charge was $82.80 when I paid with a credit card. All the usual amenities were included, such as wifi, small fridge, microwave oven, and TV with movie channels. Room was large and clean. Furniture was fairly new. No complaints.

Keep driving! You are better off sleeping in your car! The lobby reeked of weed! We paid $129 for one of the nastiest motel rooms ever! We were put in a corner room and our window faced a brick wall. The room stunk! The tub was plugged and filled with water when I tried to shower! The wall heater was ancient and took up a large portion of the bathroom. Tried to dry off after a shower while avoiding getting burned from the heater! The pillows were as flat as pancakes and the decor was ancient! Nasty!

I was doing a moving trip by myself and I got super tired ||I have driven past this cute little place on my journeys through this area over the years but I never had the opportunity to stop ||I met the nice lady who owns this motel and got my clean comfy room ||I was very happy with my stay here and I definitely will stay here again in the future. ||If you’re out this way , do yourself a favor and stay at this charming motel.

This hotel was hands down the worst place I’ve ever stayed. The owner is incredibly rude and unprofessional. She’s constantly smoking weed, and the smell is overwhelming it made the whole place stink. The room itself was old and poorly maintained. There were rats that came into the room at night, which was just disgusting. I had to deal with them running around while trying to sleep, which was incredibly unsettling. On top of that, the hot water never worked during my entire stay. I tried to shower, but was left with cold water every time. The heater in my room didn’t work either, and it was freezing outside around -11°C. I couldn’t stay warm, and there was no one around to help fix anything. Was passing through on my way to Albuquerque and stumbled upon this quaint little place. Me and my work crew stayed one night and I received no complaints from anyone. Rooms are clean and recently renovated, bathrooms are cleaner than most bigger hotel/ motel chains as well. Lady at front desk was very nice and accommodating considering we got in so late (9P.M.).
