Deseret Reservoir Recreation Area

An unusual place. You have to get permission from the Army as well as a fishing license. Made me feel like I was in an old 1950s area. But it was fun caught a fish within the first 10 minutes.

Showed up one the day of our reserved registration only to find we had no water available for our trailer. We called to get it turned on, nobody answered. Left a message and nobody came. The flies were unbelievably awful. Literally thousands of them swarming everywhere. We couldn’t even stay due to no water. Hoping for a refund. I would not recommend this site to anyone.

Very secluded, full hook ups but only 4 spots, reservations needed with only a 14 day limit. Small reservoir to fish in, license & use permit, stocked with trout occasionally. No shower, bathroom only among with a fish cleaning station. As far as military rv parks go, it's ok but priced as much as others with showers. No dumpsters near or dog park, no commissary or exchange on base, one small resteraunt, but was told by next year there planning in having a much larger RV park actually on the base as this is about 18 miles away from it and around 20-25 miles to town.

You will come to appreciate the sound of silence here. We have stayed here often. Good place to relax and collect yourself, even do a little fishing!

Good place for fishing if the sun is shining. Otherwise it's pretty cold.
