I’ve stayed at probably 20 different hotels/resorts in Palm Springs (and I really don’t write reviews very often) BUT I really had to take the time to share my experience at Del Marcos Hotel this past weekend for a 2 night stay. This was by far hands down the BEST HOTEL EXPERIENCE I have yet to have in all of Palm Springs and my FAVORITE property thus far. Firstly, the customer service from the staff was something otherworldly — every single staff member I came encounter with treated me as if I was an A-list celebrity with attitudes and assistance so authentically phenomenal that I was almost shocked. The room was absolutely amazing. The pool incredible. The cleanliness 10/10. The FREE continental breakfast made me feel like I had teleported to an exclusive country club in France. It was
I stayed at the Del Marcos one night with my seven year old son and it was a lovely stay. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and our room had nice furniture and a comfortable bed. Keep in mind that this a renovated 1940s motel, and it still has a “motel” feel to it, although much of it has been nicely renovated. They offer a complimentary breakfast in the lobby (coffee/tea, bagels, toast, store-bought muffins, whole fruit, granola, yogurt). The pool wasn’t heated, but they allowed us to use the heated pool and jacuzzi at their sister property across the street. The location is excellent - a 5 minute walk to Downtown Palm Springs shops & restaurants. I only gave it 4 stars because the rate we paid ($900/night) was more than double what it was worth, in my opinion. At $450/night (
Absolute gem of a hotel, and a great recommendation by the Shag Store which we went to visit during Modernism Week. Upon pulling up to the curb, I realized this was the same cute property I’d halted the car in front of on a prior trip to photograph, so I’m glad I’ve now had a chance to see the inside of the property, and two rooms, as we ended up extending our somewhat impromptu Palm Springs vacay and staying another night. Maria, Andrea, Aaron, and all of the staff took excellent care of us and are beyond helpful—I called with a last-minute request to have a bottle of spirits placed in our room for my partner’s (extended) birthday celebration, and while we may have left home seven hours past our planned departure hour, as we tend to do, it was sitting on the dining room table packaged be
TLDR: This hotel was a huge disappointment! The website oversells the property, which is architecturally interesting but needs a hospitality overhaul and a deep clean. We received a text from the hotel a day before our stay to confirm our arrival time, which we promptly did and never heard anything back. When we arrived at the hotel, the lobby was closed with a sign directing us to their next door property - not exactly a warm welcome. It seems they have their staff focus on the other property, as the lobby remained closed for the five days of our stay and we were redirected next door for everything we needed - not far, but not convenient. We booked a queen room and while the space itself was fine, there was no mention that this would be a motel room --- our door was easily accessible fr
I recently spent five days at the Del Marcos Hotel, and it truly felt like home. My poolside room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped with full kitchen amenities. One of my favorite features was the cozy back patio, complete with an outdoor tub—perfect for relaxing after a long day. The hotel’s location is another big plus. It’s within walking distance of downtown Palm Springs and many major tourist attractions, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the area. What really made my stay exceptional was the staff. They were super friendly, always welcoming me with a big smile, and genuinely eager to help with anything I needed. Their warm hospitality elevated my experience and made my trip memorable. I highly recommend Del Marcos Hotel to anyone planning to visit Palm Springs.
