Del Mar Motel

Update: Do NOT book here if you value your reservation. I prepaid $143 for two nights at Del Mar Motel. When I arrived at 1 AM, they told me my room had already been given to someone else — even though I never canceled and had already paid. The front desk told me I needed to contact Agoda for a refund and that they would not issue a refund at the property since I booked through Agoda . Agoda then directed me back to the motel. This went back and forth for weeks without resolution. They pushed responsibility back and forth for weeks instead of fixing the problem immediately. I was left scrambling at 2 AM to find somewhere to sleep and had to book another hotel for the following night — even though I had already paid for two nights here. I've stayed there plenty of times, not because I wanted to but had to, and it's a hit and miss. They only have 2 or 3 remodeled rooms that is nice, but the rest are.......and if you see online that there the cheapest, better book it online because if you roll up in there they'll give you a 5 star Hilton price and then bargain down to still expensive. Dont get me wrong, I would pay about $100, but only for the remodeled rooms. Its not worth the others.

The room sheltered us from the outdoors so I’ll give it that. Otherwise it was terrible. Mold and rust everywhere, dirty cigarette burned sheets old rusty faucets but house keeping did their best and worked hard. It rained during my stay and the water leaked into the room and soaked the floor. Hence the mold. The shower did get nice and hot but again the tub was filthy and damaged. There just way too much to list. The area is kind of shady twice someone banged on my door and the staff weren’t very helpful. I wouldn’t stay here again and I wouldn’t recommend to place to anyone.

The real price is always more than the initial price posted although they still have many vacancies. It’s a trick to make you think you got the last room so you need to pay extra.

Do not stay here not even for the price. I left at 3 am I was so uncomfortable. Bed cover has cigarette burns. Furniture is stained and has graffiti. Furniture is damaged. Sink has a broken knob. From the room I was staying in I could see right over trash can and there is badly stained bed sheets and pillows in a blue bin near trash cans. Front desk service is horrible. Please go to motel 6 on Rosemead not more than 10 minute away from this location.
