Deer Trail Motel

When we first arrived, to be honest, I was very very worried. After our 3 night stay, however, I couldn't be happier! Yes, this is an old motel. Yes, the rooms could use a major upgrade. But knowing that coming in, be happy! Everything works, and the customer service can NOT be beat, I guarantee you. This was a comfy, and very reasonably priced place to stay for 3 nights on a holiday weekend! Noah's ark included in stay, and a pretty nice pool on site. Playground looks rough, but my daughter was absolutely obsessed with it!!! Overall, a budget friendly, quiet place. No it is NOT a 5star hotel, but its excellent. Thanks so much Deer Trail!!

We stayed last week for our family vacation. The accommodations and set up worked well for our group. We were able to gather in the courtyard or on our patios to visit. The pool was steps from our cabin and with the 9 foot deep end, the kids loved it. The rooms were clean and comfortable; the mattresses were very firm and comfortable. To stay here, you must accept this is a motel, not a five star resort. The location was close enough for us to walk downtown and by the river. We have a large dog and he was very welcome at this motel. The owner was friendly and very helpful. If you plan to cook in the room, you may need to bring some larger pots and pans and some silverware. Sadly, the rooms only have the basic dishware due to thefts from prior guests. This place is one of the most awful motels. Spiders crawling in the shower. The sheet were stained with brown and red stains! The bed is uneven when you lay on it. The room smelled musty. My room was freezing cold and the heat did it work. Also the refrigerator did it work. And the toilets are small like for a toddler size!! I addressed all my issues to the owner and personally showed her. She didn’t want to her it or give me a refund. She claimed that she cleans all the motel rooms nice and runs the front office which there is no way that happens properly. And her attitude is horrible when I asked her kindly for a refund. I couldn’t even take a shower because there were no clean towels or washcloths. Never go to this motel. It is definitely a waste of money!

Just got back from a family reunion at the Deer Trail Motel, we had 9 rooms and a lot of family and we all loved it ! The rooms were larger than expected, the bed was comfortable and all the rooms were beautifully decorated. The setup outside makes it easy to sit and connect with family. It's in a quiet location but it's close enough to the downtown area so you can walk. There's a cute playground for children of all ages and a nice pool to take a swim. We feel in love with the owner Tasha because she is so sweet and works so hard to make your stay enjoyable. Her prices are reasonable to. Everyone has agreed that we will be returning again next year !

My experience at this motel was horrible from the very start. When my family and I first arrived the owner of the motel stated she did not have any rooms available. I brought out my paperwork showing my reservations for 3 rooms with double beds. The owner still insisted we had no reservations and she was booked all weekend even though the motel sign flashed vacancies. Next I dug in my bag and produced the email confirming my reservation from her website. She read it and stated she would be back. She went back to the back office and came back to the counter clearly irritated and stated she had 3 single rooms. It was rather convenient that suddenly she had 3 rooms available and they were all by each other. After that we went to our rooms. My family had unit #19. The bed was uncomfortable and
