Deer Meadows Motel & Cottages

We did not have a pre planned place to stay and were lucky to get a motel room here. It is excellent for basic necessities, very comfortable bed, nice crisp clean sheets. Across street is access to lake with dock. Enjoyed a fantastic evening fire with a few other folks who were staying at property. For the basic needs this is a great place. If staying a few days you can have fun in water on available watercraft. Close to town.

A great location, near Inlet with access to Seventh Lake, but not a great experience. The cottages look lovely, but the motel part consists of tiny, sparse rooms. Ours had a water leak (not sure of the source), which gave it a strong musty/mildew smell that became overwhelming over our two-day stay. We had no way to deal with it because no one was at the front desk for the entire stay … not a soul. There was an “emergency,” we were told by another guest, but it was eerie. If something more serious had happened-- for example, locked out of our room), we would have been out of luck. The awful smell made the stay less than enjoyable and having no proprietor made us uneasy. We have stayed here before but probably won’t again. Lots of cobwebs, stained curtains and just an overall dirty feeling. Wish I got a pic of the air conditioner filter in our room, was SO THICK with dust! 🤮

My family had an AMAZING stay at Deer Meadows. This was our second visit. Stayed once in the motel and recently stayed in one of the cottages. The cottages are clean and spacious. There is a sand beach for guests as well as grills, firepit, swimming area, kayaks, row boats, water slide for kids, waffle Wednesday on the beach, lawn games, and much more. Best of all is the amazing view of 7th Lake. The property is very well maintained and clean. Minutes from the main stretch in Inlet. A short drive to Old Forge and Water Safari. We also loved that the cottages were spaced out nicely. Very relaxing inside and outside. We didn't want to leave. Highly recommended!!

First time in the Old Forge area. Love the area. Thank you Melissa for making us feel at home. Melissa’s boyfriend did flapjack Friday and did a great job keeping the firewood stocked, which is totally included during the stay. Would definitely return again to stay!
