Deer Haven Campground & Cabins

Went for Cooperstown trip. 10/10 for convenience when the games were late or rain delayed. 5 minutes from everything in town. Small pool and giant bouncy pillow were a huge draw for my younger son who wasn’t playing! The cabin itself is very bare bones, but as advertised. Luckily we planned on eating out because you would have to be committed to grilling, as the cabins only have a small fridge, toaster, microwave, coffee maker. We did get the linen package but honestly would skip it next time —very basic and pillows were so thin they were unusable. The main bed had a plastic, noisy mattress cover which needed to be removed if you wanted to get any sleep, and the bunkbeds were so hard they were not used—tried adding an egg crate foam layer but really didn’t help. This campground was an excellent experience, especially for those attending the CASV baseball tournament. It would be a long walk from the site, but very short drive and convenient to the parking area. Sites were clean and level. Pool and grounds all well kept. The reservation system is a little bit of a challenge, especially long periods prior to stay. Otherwise, great overall experience. Great brewery close by, about 40ish min to Cooperstown proper. Full hook up site at a really good price.

Family owned facility. Neat and clean. Well maintained. In spite of a plethora of rules they allowed some guests to play music too loud during normal hours impacting the peace for other campers. The location was the reason for our visit very close to All Star Village.

Great for a family of 4. Clean cabins, pool and jumpy pillow. Location is amazing right around the corner from cooperstown all star village. Beautiful view in the morning. We had cabin 2 and it on a hill . I loved going outside and being able to smell flowers.

By far our favorite place to stay when up in Oneonta/Cooperstown/Ostego area. Owners are pure genuine first class and always go out of their way to ensure you’re stay on the campgrounds are a positive experience. Will always come back to Deer Haven! 5 STARS!!
