Courtyard by Marriott Oneonta Cooperstown Area

I made a reservation through Expedia with the right to cancel 7 days before, but for some reason it reserved it under non-refundable. I spoke with Expedia and they still had no issue with cancelling as long as hotel agreed. Spoke with hotel manager Kelsea Donahue who first agreed to waive and she put it in writing. Then she did a turnaround and said we still want our money from Expedia, which is not a waiver. I cancelled the reservation with 30 days in advance and they still had plenty of empty rooms in their hotel to sell with no financial harm. If this is how they manage their business, it speaks about everything else they do. Please, do not patronage this hotel, plenty of others in the area. There’s a restaurant and pool which we didn’t take advantage of. The room was clean and well laid out. The front desk was courteous. I’d stay there again.

We were very pleased with our stay. Our room was spacious and clean and the hotel was well maintained. The kids loved the pool (albeit it was a bit cold, but the air temperature was warm) and the fire pit in the back was nice. With two small children it was easy to get breakfast in the morning and the food prices were reasonable. Our mattresses were a bit squeaky but overall we would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Always a good experience. I have stayed at this location numerous times and if I have ever had a concern they have been very accommodating.

This is the absolute worse hotel that has ever been made. This honestly feels worse than a motel 6. The surfaces has blood stains everywhere, the fridge has leftover Buffalo Wild Wings, and the room above me was playing tackle football till 4am. Over it has a nasty and dirty vibe. Pool is as large as king mattress and gym couldn’t hold everything in my fridge. It also smells like a public restroom everywhere. The elevators take light years to go one floor and if u get lucky enough to stay in a room with a view, you get to enjoy a large parking lot. Overall this hotel is the worst I have ever stayed at and brings shame to the Marriott brand. P.S. Stay somewhere else please this made my son’s Cooperstown experience a nightmare.
