Deco Walk

This is the best "Youth hostel" I have ever seen. Inside looked fun. The rooftop was great. It is in the heart of South Beach.

I came here for work from Los Angeles and I had never stayed in a "youth hostel" before and was quite pessimistic and uncertain of what the experience was going to be, but to my delight, it was actually really really good. If you can stay sober enough for a couple minutes a week, to actually REMEMBER your experience at deco walk (it is on RIGHT ON THE BEACH ON OCEAN AVE in SOUTH BEACH amidst the throws of many bars, clubs, excellent restaurants, and alcohol infused gauntlet of fun) you will notice a actually very well run, friendly, clean, and hospitable establishment. Im 34 and thought it would be better for someone my age bracket to just stay in a hotel but I actually ended up meeting alot of people my age doing the same thing (trying to save $$$) I actually made some friendships with p

Stayed in this hostel from 29th December 2014 to 1st January 2015. Great place to meet a lot of people from all parts of the world. The hostel is right on Ocean Drive, so you can walk to the beach/ pubs whenever you want to. Staff is friendly and the dorms are cleaned everyday. Excellent place for students !

This place was just purchased in December 2016. Many items are brand new. If you have suggestions just let the owners know! This is the only hostel with windows facing the ocean I believe in South Beach. If you are terrified of bed bugs, you will pleased to know the mattresses are plastic coated. They offer a warm fuzzy blanket if you get chilled at night. All you have to do is walk across the street and you are on the beach! 📌 I suggest shelves in the female bathroom to hang above the toilet. A cubicle for every bed number. It would be nice to have a rack to hang something or maybe soak your dentures. 😂😃😉 Seriously, that's needed. 📌 I think it would be great to have Lysol wipes/Purex sanitizer dispensers on the dorm wall. I don't mind wiping things down for the rate charged. ❤️ I like

The hostel service is ok. But when I let the front desk to call a shuttle for me, he just called a private shuttle for me which is 40 dollars to the airport. While the usual shuttle is just 20 dollars. He should have notified me but he did not. I think they get rebate from the high price shuttle.
