Days Inn by Wyndham Newport OR

During our interstate travel, we stopped at Days Inn in Newport, OR, for the night. It was freezing outside, half rain and half snow. I was taken aback by the pannelled floor, no rug, when we walked in. I had to grab one of the two bath towels to use as a rug. The bed looked comfortable, but when I hit the bottom with my foot, I discovered a metal base for the mattress. Surprisingly, the bed was comfortable. TV was OK; never heard of Spectrum before, waaaay too many channels with nothing. Overall, it did serve it's purpose for the night. A heated floor or rug would have been nice. Oh, and most importantly, it was clean. ♡

An older motel, but kept very clean and in good repair. We found it to be quiet and offer a comfortable bed to sleep in. For the price and location, it is about the best bang for the buck to be had in the area. We notice that vendors and repairmen use it. Wifi is not that great. Complimentary breakfast is limited, but offers coffee, juice, oatmeal, poptarts, yogurt and fresh fruit. A great breakfast restaurant, the Pig anf Pancake, is a block away.

I've been to many hotels. This hotel has all the basic elements that some higher-end hotels so easily overlook. The check-in process was easy and friendly. We got a very nice room. Everything was clean and looked nice. The bed was comfortable for me ( had back pain that night and the bed helped). I slept peacefully. They were all courteous. It is also in a great location I appreciate this place. Would return.

Great place for someone who is working local or senior. The property managers are very particular about any amount of noise at all times of the day. I would not recommend for anyone with groups or more than 2 people. Property managers are very nice but also somewhat discriminatory. Young adults be aware that this is not the place for your summer fun whether you are local or not.
