12/23/2025: Revising for new information. I'm very upset. The smell is from a disgusting fire from a local business, A&M Composting in Manheim PA. The fire started ~Dec 6 2025 and is expected to continue burning into January 2026. I checked in on Dec 14, 2025. On Dec 16th or 17th I asked front desk personnel if they knew what the smell was. I was told it was probably manure from the local farms. I did not receive any phone calls, messages, emails, in-person communications, or flyers posted regarding the affected poor air quality coming in through the HVAC vents. I did not receive any offer to transfer our reservations to a sister-hotel outside of the smoke-zone. My bff and I stayed here during the Extraordinary Women conference at Hershey Giant center. We arrived very late as we were stuck in the Giant Center parking lot for hours due to traffic from the Hozier concert and our event. The room stank of cat urine. It was so late we didn’t try to change the room. Got to bed at 2:42 am. Cobwebs all over. First floor window was open with a fan and curtains pulled back. It was disgusting. I wouldn’t put a homeless person in this room. It would be an insult. I tried to get a discount in the morning and was given the phone number of JP the general manager. Come to find he does not answer the phone. He probably lives in the mansion behind the hotel. I have called over and over, no answer. Wyndham will not give me any discount or refund. I am

Positive: The morning person was very friendly and helpful. It is a block from the Renaissance Faire. Negative: There is no pool and hasn’t been for the whole summer. We were going to stay overnight rather than drive home after the faire closed, bet we decided to stay Sunday and relax in the pool. We canceled our second day. Our “suite” was basically one room

We originally booked here because of its close proximity to the Renaissance Faire. After seeing more reviews for lacking cleanliness, I tried multiple times to cancel within their cancellation window. No one answered the phone every time I called. After booking with another hotel chain, we went there the next morning to cancel in person and they would not allow us to do so. It smelled like smoke despite the no smoking signs in the lobby. The public bathroom was also really gross. It seems like no one on property is capable of making a cancellation. The only way they got my money is because they won’t return it and no one answered the phone. Zero stars. Do not recommend.

This place has been our go-to for Ren Fair for many years, although it's been going downhill for a while. Now that it's a Days Inn, it's probably not going to be improving. They have the market cornered as the closest hotel to Ren Fair so if you want to stay here you have to make your reservation many months in advance and we still often miss before it's sold out. The air conditioner in our room needed repair, it was extremely loud, and I couldn't sleep, otherwise it was stiflingly hot in the room, and I still couldn't sleep. The toilet paper holder had fallen off the wall. I'm hoping that with the new ownership comes some semblance of repair & upgrade, but I'm not that optimistic.
