Days Inn by Wyndham Gatesville

The worst hotel I’ve ever NOT stayed at. I arrived at night, and after 45 minutes the receptionist finally found my reservation. When I went to my room, there were like 5 men just loitering around my door, all in only their underwear. Upon entering my room, there was no deadbolt on the door, and the plywood door to the adjoining room looked as though it had been previously kicked down. The frame was shattered and I could easily see into the other room (and presumably them into mine). I went back to the front to ask for a different room and she said that’s not possible. When I asked to cancel my reservation she also said it’s not possible. I asked for a refund, she said no. I did NOT sleep there that night or any other, I had to make an emergency reservation at the comfort inn. I don’t know

Run!!!! First room had dirt all over the floor and had a strong marijuana smell throughout room. I requested another room. That one was worse. It had a dead cricket waiting for me at entrance inside the front door. Several flies flying around inside. A live cricket in the tub. A “musty” odor in room. A big gap at front door where bugs can crawl in. I returned to front desk to tell them I was going to stay somewhere else, to cancel my reservation for the 2 nights and requested refund. The young lady at front desk said she couldn’t authorize refund and would have to ask her manager and get back to me. It’s been 5 hours and have not heard back from anyone. I’ll count my losses and move on. Don’t waste your money!

Positive: Clean and quiet. The beds were extremely comfortable! Negative: Continental could have had meat options and eggs

Excellent stay! Rooms recently remodeled, excellent service, manager and night manager were super nice and accommodating, the housekeepers did a terrific job. Pool is nearly completed and should be up and running soon. New beds, linens and pillows. Property was clean and safe. Prices were great! Will definitely be back.

The beds are box springs and super loud, also the pool is peeling paint and a little dirty. There is also no walkway to the pool. They had just mowed so we got a lot of lawn trimming caked onto our shoes and we tracked into the rooms. There weee people outside getting drunk all night as well. On the plus side, it is inexpensive, the room was clean and cool and it’s in the middle of town pretty much so everything is at the most 10 minutes away(if that). I can tell they are working on the place to make it better, maybe in the future I will try it again.
