Days Inn by Wyndham Birch Run

nasty rooms, unfinished floors and walls in pool area, the hot tub they claimed to have was filled with concrete, the bathroom smelled like pee before anyone in our room used it, uncomfortable beds, just don't come here. we stayed for 2 days and there was bugs and hair in the pool both days so they clearly don't clean it.

I booked this location for my husband as he had been traveling all week and needed a place to stay over the weekend. He checked in Saturday morning to find out that there is no laundry facility and there is no hot tub. Ok, it's still close to restaurants and shops, so he has things to do over the weekend... but then he took a shower, water pressure was awful!!! The bed is uncomfortable. The floor was sticky. Then, he sat in the desk chair to get a bite to eat at the desk and the chair leg snapped. He called to let the desk know. Instead of being helpful or sympathetic, he was told he would be charged $50 for the chair... uh, your cheap, old furniture broke. The day was quite confusing. We registered under the days in brand. When we just got there, we discovered it was merged with Americinn, so you go into the same reception area for both and it just is odd. When we got to our room, it was very dated and you could see where the ceiling had been patched in the number of places some not too well, it had a tiny tiny bathroom. Most hotels nowadays have small coffee pots in the room this to that, and I understand the policy of not changing sheets every night, like hotels used to, but most of the time you still see housekeeping. No one came the entire three days we were there. Only positive about this trip was the location to everything we needed. First concern- The staff was rude to my wife for requesting a main floor level room because I am currently on a scooter after surgery. They have no elevator and put us on the 2nd floor. My wife had to fight for a main floor room. Secondary concern- the walk ways in and out of the hotel and packed with snow and ice. Not snow removal was done or salt for people’s safety. Being on a knee scooter in the winter is already difficult enough and the lack of maintenance and respect for people with handicap disabilities is crazy to me. Third concern- Nothing like not being able to use your own bathroom in your room. Toilet is bubbling, sink, and shower won’t drain. How is this ok and sanitary. When mentioned to the front desk

Positive: The location for those hotel if you're shopping in Birch run is excellent. This used to be my favorite hotel in Birch run I probably won't book there again. Negative: I found since this hotel changed ownership it has gone bare minimum. The breakfast buffet was miniscule at best. Although the staff is wonderful the room was unclean and very outdated, even though they just did renovations.
