Americas Best Value Inn Birch Run

Been coming here for years!!! 2-28-26 stayed for another weekend to visit frankenmuth. Came back to hotel and smelt chemicals bad out side by entry door. Went into room n over taken by toxic fumes!! Dog started gaging n could hardly breath just like us. Went to desk, wanted to move us up stairs, we can't do steps. Later offered us a smaller room on main floor. Then the nice worker recommended opening window n turn bathroom vent on. We did. Had to go out side several times in ice cold n snow to breath. Took meds try not to get sick. Left window open n heat cranked up. They were remodeling a room on a full house weekend! Opened the room door, had fans in hallway to blow fumes through n into hall n quest rooms underdoors!

An okay place. Had issues with first room but the hotel remedied the situation by moving us to another. There is no elevator so be aware of that. The hotel shows it age. Showers need repainted, a lot of flaking. But to their credit they still worked fine and the water was hot. Lots of towels and TV had a variety of stations. Breakfast is waffles, toast, muffins and ceral & fruit. Coffee & water 24/7. Adequate breakfast area. Location is only about 8 minutes from Frankenmuth. Whirlpool only. Fridge & Microwave. A/C was nice and cold. Would consider staying again but would price shop first.

Positive: The price. Negative: Very dirty, in the room and the hallways. There was some kind of black grease or something that got all over our children's clothes from them just being on the floor inside the room.

For the most part is a pretty decent hotel The staff is very pleasant and helpful My room was clean and it seemed like a safe area breakfast left some thing to be desired main breakfast is the two waffle irons and some dry cereal a little bit of fruit on the side. The beds are extremely comfortable The refrigerator in the room are cold, The showers had hot water and that didn't run out. I didn't have no issues when I was there. I don't get a chance to use the hot tub or sauna did look in there though steam clean and well taken care of.

I would not recommend staying here. Our room was in extremely poor condition from the moment we arrived. At 4 a.m.(see photo), the parking lot lights were shining straight into our room because the curtain was barely attached to the wall and didn’t close properly. It was impossible to sleep. The beds were also extremely uncomfortable — genuinely the worst sleep I’ve ever had at a hotel. Between the light pouring in and the terrible mattress, we couldn’t rest at all and will not be back. The bathtub was another major issue. The entire surface coating is peeling off in huge patches, making it look dirty no matter what. It didn’t feel clean or safe to use. To top it off, there was a half-empty shampoo bottle left in the room from a previous guest, which is unacceptable. For the price we p
