Days Inn by Wyndham Bastrop

I wanted to leave this review due to the other ones from earlier months that complained heavily. This is far, far from the worst room I've stayed in. Staff is friendly, rooms spotless, space is quiet. Beds were so comfortable! Sheets clean. It's a nice affordable spot. Downsides: Breakfast is sparce carbs and some juice with no protein. AC was difficult to get cold and keep the whole room the same temp.

The beds were clean but the room had a very musty smell. There was a very soiled or stained chair in the room that should be removed. And it did not feel very safe, lots of men hanging around outside on both levels. Not a very inviting atmosphere for a family or single woman.

The location was convenient, with easy access to restaurants and shops nearby. Breakfast was a nice bonus to start the day. Overall, a great experience at an affordable price – I’d definitely stay here again

This was a good place to stay when visiting Bastrop State Park, which is nearby. The breakfast is very minimal - cold cereal and instant oatmeal packages. They also had a loaf of white bread and some pre-packaged pastries. Coffee was good. Harsh lighting over the beds in the room and the plug by the bed was loose - our charger kept falling out. Nice staff and clean room that has recently been updated.

Summary: It's not exactly in a prime location for much, but if you're in the area and need to spend the night some place inexpensive, this is a good choice. Pros: Don't take my rating to indicate that this is a 5-star hotel or anything. It's 5-stars for being $81/night. At that rate, you can't expect concierge service, but I was pleasantly surprised to see a minifridge (empty), a microwave, a coffee maker (with some kind of generic coffee; I didn't try it). The free breakfast is kind of a joke, but if you want a tiny blueberry muffin and some frosted flakes, have at it! Cons: The only variable is your neighbors. Different people do different things at inexpensive motels. I had no issues with neighbors or noise at all when I was there, but your experience may vary. As usual, if you don't
