Pecan Street Inn

We LOVE this place!!!! The owners are fantastic couple. The house is always very clean and ready when we get there. The location is the best!! Walk to everything within just a few minutes. I’ve stayed at the Pecan Inn off and on for the past 7 years. Love going here. Will definitely be back.

I needed a place to stay the night last minute and discovered the Pecan Street Inn. as i stepped on to the porch and entered the Old Home it felt like I was traveling through time. the beds were comfortable provided a well rested night sleep. My most favorite feature of the Inn is the Swing that faces Pecan Street . I picked my feet up from the porch and swayed back and forth and closed my eyes, I felt as if i was floating. Will definitely stay here every time I go to Bastrop Texas.

The perfect location! Our stay for our girls retreat was just what we needed. We had full kitchen access with all the essentials! Local coffee, comfy bedding, clean, and quaint with plenty of space for us to simply relax. We will definitely be back annually! Love the Pecan Inn 🫶

After reading the reviews, one in particular stood out to my wife and I. The negative review posted by Kathie Lockwood we found to be quite entertaining. In preparation for staying at the inn, I packed my 12 gauge shotgun, a couple of rat traps, some peanut butter and cheese and was determined to kill some rats while relaxing for the weekend. Traps were placed in key areas of the house and my trusty shotgun was at the ready next to my bed. I was on hot standby with my million candlepower Streamlight ready to due some hunting. I was truly disappointed to find no evidence of rats (or any other vermin). All that preparation was wasted. I missed out on rat stew and had to eat the local fare which in my opinion was very good. If you're looking for lodging that's authentic, unique, convenient, and most importantly, a step back in time, you've found a true diamond in the rough! I hosted out-of-town visitors for a weekend at this 100+ year-old-home-turned-B&B and marveled at how comfortable, casual yet elegant, and overall relaxing Pecan Street Inn was... and that doesn't even count the lovely owners who were helpful and present and let us have the place to ourselves. It was such a neat experience! If you've got family in town and just want a place to convene, relax, and that will keep you intrigued at every turn, this is for you! (If you want typical hotel lodging, Bastrop has lots of chain hotels and even the incredible Lost Pines Resort.. Pecan Street Inn is for those looking for something totally different!)
