Day Dream Cabins

5 STARS AGAIN! We stayed in Hummingbird last year and this year. I enjoy my morning coffee on the deck while watching the deer in the field. We also use the grill at least once for an evening steak. The cabin is top notch, including full bath and kitchen. Parking is plenty and the security gate is comforting. Jose keeps it simple with a text of the access info needed. The location is just minutes north of Fredericksburg. Hopefully this will be our stay for years to come.

I absolutely loved my visit. I stayed for 4 days for a writing retreat, and the peacefulness of the place was just perfect. The location is far enough away from it all to really have a restful, quiet stay and see a million stars at night. However, it was also close enough to downtown where I could easily hop in the car to grab lunch or walk around. My favorite part of my trip was sitting on the porch with my laptop enjoying the breeze and the sounds of nature. During my visit, I didn't even realize I had neighbors. The property is extremely well-maintained. I love that the cabins look rustic from the outside, but on the inside they have all the amenities I could want. We have stayed at the Day Dream Cabins many times over the past 11 years. Our first visit was with a group of fellow Harley riders and we fell in love with the place. George and Mary Ann were fabulous hosts. We came back several times with our Harley group and always got the best treatment. Clean, peaceful and absolutely lovely setting. We loved it so much that we stayed there for our honeymoon and again in 2007 following the death of a family member in Fredericksburg. You can't go wrong but make your repeat reservations before you leave because the secret is out. Day Dream Cabins are awesome!!!

Our family truly enjoyed our stay at Day Dream Cabins when we spent the weekend exploring Enchanted Rock and the Fredericksburg area. The cabins are clean, modern on the inside, great wifi, with comfortable beds, and conveniently located. The owner(s) were very responsive to any questions. There are games, a grill, a gazebo and even a fire pit to make s'mores.
