Darien Dockside Inn

We had a wonderful comfortable stay. Love walking out the door to unique stores with local flavor. The lobby had everything we could wish for our beverage needs. Sunrise & Sunset pictures must! Highly recommend The Shanty for coffee & breakfast,The Tabby House for craft beer ,Rivers Edge for lunch or dinner ! All within walking distance of our room. Everything you would want without moving your car!

I loved staying at the Darien Dockside Inn. The inn is in a great location. Restaurants are plentiful within walking distance. There’s a wonderful coffee shop that opens early and has delicious food. The water is close enough to see it from the front porch. Two rocking chairs on the porch were a nice touch. Parking is easy! The room was very comfortable. I highly recommend!!

I just finished another stay at my “go to hotel” for rest, relaxation, and writing. As a novelist who writes about the aura, romance, and culture of the Georgia Coast Dockside provides the perfect place for my craft. The balcony overlooking the river, the footsteps away from Darien’s fabulous wine bar, and the convenience to Skippers seafood restaurant presents such amazing opportunities for fellowship. Darien has so much to offer, and Dockside provides the best venue to enjoy it.

Stayed here one night. Across the parking lot is Marsh Pirate taproom. A nice friendly bar. The bar tender even offered to share his birthday cake! Skippers restaurant (same parking lot)is a favorite. Go upstairs and sit at an empty table or outside. The menu is the same as the dining room. The staff is great. I stayed in room #1. The only sort of negative is the toilet is close to the wall with a grab bar beside it. I am a heavy guy and that grab bar is in the way when you have to sit. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and I will stay here again!

This is a charming little place. I had originally made a reservation for a prior trip but the owner was really accommodating and was able to just push the reservation to the later date I asked for. The room and bathroom are huge. Check in is really easy (you're just sent a code) and the view of the river is delightful. The towels were really luxurious to the point where my boyfriend asked me where we could get ones of our own. There's a great common space too. The room had a nice seating area on the balcony with a great view. I didn't know the balcony went through to all the rooms so I got quite startled when I saw a guy out of the corner of my eye but once I understood the layout it obviously wasn't a problem.
