Dabbs Hotel

Dabbs Motel is a peaceful, serene, and history rich beauty of a hotel. We enjoyed sitting on the porch, by the fire pit, the beautifully lit yard at night, the walk down to the river, and the cozy rooms. We had a lovely time at the Dabbs Hotel. The check in process was seemless, the room was like a nostalgic step back in time but with modern amenities. Our delicious biscuit sandwich and fresh coffee on the breakfast terrace overlooking the Llano River was a great start to our walking tour of Llano. Thanks for a refreshing place to stay.

Great little B&B. New owner is amazing. Rooms are quaint and cute. Hotel has such a great history. Location is perfect for eat, drink and shop. Try the Barrel House across the street for a meal!!! Llano is a hellova low key spot outside the bustle of Fredericksburg and the Dabbs is nestled right in the center of where you’d want to be. The Llano river and the falls are right off the back porch and it makes a great backdrop to either coffee or adult beverage. We will be back with the entire family and take the 20 minute drive out to Enchanted Rock. Very excited to get back here!

While this hotel has a nice historic feel to it and was well cleaned, the building itself has not been upgraded much since it's earlier days. In particular, the sound proofing between rooms; it's similar to staying in someone's home. This is not the place to stay if you want to get a good night's sleep. Be prepared to hear everything the other tenants are doing, even things you'd never want to hear other couples doing in the room next to you... We will not be staying here again.

I would highly recommend staying at the Dabbs. After a disastrous stay in Austin, I booked this rather last minute and was so relieved to find someplace safe and quiet. I stayed in the Something Blue suite and it was exactly as advertised. It was beautifully decorated, the bed was comfortable and during the day, it gets such gorgeous sunlight. The whole property is stunning, not to mention the town it's located in. Llano is like the Stars Hollow (Gilmore Girl reference) of the south. The town square is full of lovely shops, a gazebo, great food, wine, music and coffee. There is also a lot of history in the town as well, with museums and old log cabins and train stations to see. The only reason I couldn't give this place 5 stars on service is because it is marketed as a "bed and breakfast,
