Crossroads Inn and Suites

My husband, daughter, and I stayed here twice in the past few weeks. We were picking up our son at CCU and continuing on to Florida the next day (June 29). We were very pleased with the room. We were in the back building with an interior hallway. The room was clean and comfortable. The only complaint was that there was not enough room in the lobby to actually sit and eat the breakfast. On July 7, on the reverse trip, we were given a first floor room right on the parking lot. It was not what we were expecting. The walls were totally bare. The sheets were stained. At $80 per night I expected better. The walls had stains of various color all over them. Everything I touched was sticky. The carpet was not vacuumed well. The rusted shower head looked like it had been there since the 1970s. The door trim to the bathroom was eaten away at the bottom by what looked to be termites. The toilet paper roll holder had been ripped from the wall leaving one peg sticking out. The bathtub backed up after 20 seconds of showering leaving me in a pool of God knows what. I'm not very picky, but this place is gross. On a good note the staff were friendly and and the reception area seems fine. This place was absolutely disgusting! There was dried blood splatter all over the bathroom wall, the carpet was sticky and it looks like it hasn’t been vacuumed or swept in months, and there was cockroaches. The room was cheap but it wasn’t worth staying somewhere were you didn’t wanna touch anything in it. The customer service was very poor. When I went to check out they didn’t ask how my stay was..no greeting or have a nice day. They clearly did not care. Seriously considering getting tested to make sure I didn’t get anything from that room... so gross.

I reserved rooms for my employees. When my employees got there, they said it was disgusting, and reeked of smoke. They decided to go to a different hotel. My card was still charged for A WEEK! When I called to ask when they would be refunding the money, the lady explained that she would not refund any of it because she felt like they should have stayed there. I explained, that it if they felt the rooms were dirty or smelled bad, I would never force my employees to stay there. She flat out refused to refund any of the money, and said that her manager agreed that I should be charged. I told her I would dispute and thats exactly what I did. Luckily my credit card company was also blown away by the absurdity that they refused to refund my money. What a terrible excuse for a "business"

The room was nicely updated except for the tub but other than that, it was nice. Staff was nice except for when I first checked in, he wasn't so nice, felt like I was bothering him. We stayed in the building in the back and I was weary at first because it felt isolated but it ended up being okay because they had the area lit up well. I'm my opinion, it was hard to see from traffic, especially at night, but after returning a few times it was fine (the sign sits back a little from the road and is small). Would stay again if needed.
