Courtyard by Marriott Troy

The room felt small and cluttered. There were no accessible rooms so my husband couldn't use the shower. The ceiling was in need of repair and the room smelled of mildew.

Checked in by a student receptionist, who was helpful and responsive. The King studio we had was big, but poorly lit. The end of the room by the window had a big empty space that needed another seat or sofa, and floor lamps ( see photo ) It could be a much more inviting room. I wonder when the last time the Manager or owner walked and had a look at the rooms?|Breakfast sounded good ( restaurant style ), but didn’t work. One really nice, helpful young man taking orders, and cooking them, providing juice, coffee, cereal etc. Too much for one person. A more typical way of accessing breakfast would have been better.|The front desk was often empty at night, too, which never gives a good impression.|It was potentially a really good place, but the management doesn’t seem up to the job,|It is situ

My wife and I spent two nights on MLK weekend with our three kids and I must say this hotel has the friendliest and kindest staff. Room was clean and location is prime. They have a bistro that serves food including breakfast and made to order coffee if you want more than drip coffee(free). If that doesn’t appeal to you Waffle House is walking distance. To top it off it snowed. 😎

My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing, particularly due to the unacceptable room servicing. It is concerning that the Marriott continues to cite COVID as a justification for not providing daily room cleaning, especially when many hotels nationwide have resumed standard service. On the day housekeeping was scheduled, the attendant left trash in the room, failed to remove the soiled sheets. Additionally, there was a large handprint on the mirror upon my arrival, indicating that the room had not been adequately cleaned beforehand. The sheets were placed inside out on the day of arrival. After noticing these issues, I visited the front desk to confirm what a room refresh should include and was told it consisted of changing the sheets, providing fresh towels, and emptying the trash

We enjoyed our stay while visiting our daughter for her graduation. The front desk service provided by Hannah was exceptional. She was very helpful, sweet, and professional.
