Courtyard by Marriott Seattle Downtown/Pioneer Square

I had a pleasant stay at the Courtyard by Marriott in Pioneer Square. The room was clean, spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable—definitely one of the highlights of the stay. It made winding down after long days in the city really easy. The only drawback, hence the the star deduction, was a slightly old or musty smell in the room, which didn’t ruin the experience but did make the space feel a bit dated. Where this hotel truly shines is the staff. Everyone I encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help. The front desk team especially stood out—they consistently greeted me with warmth and made every interaction smooth and easy. Their level of service added a lot of value to the stay. Courtyard By Marriot is located approximately 40 minutes away from SEA-TAC International Airport in Downtown Seattle. Simple and contemporary hotel design, this hotel seems to be a historic office building.||Hotel room is very clean and comfortable, I didn't get to use all the facilities as this was just an overnight stay. My room had a king size bed, mini fridge, large TV, black out curtains, large size bathroom with plenty of extra towels, coffee maker, iron & ironing board, and equipped with central air con. Front desk was extremely warm and welcoming. Be sure to earn Marriot Bonvoy points.||Nearby eateries all throughout downtown. Many bus stops and routes going down 2nd Avenue. Positive: Friendly staff, clean rooms, easy access from freeway but no freeway noise. Negative: A bit dated, especially in the bathrooms. Breakfast was a bit cramped, not enough seating (but not sure how that could be improved). For the price, over $---/night, I would expect a bit nicer rooms. And perhaps larger shampoo/soap, they were tiny.

Would first like to say Rual literally made our stay amazing simply by being his amazing self. He was so friendly and outgoing- we would look forward to going downstairs just to see and chat with him. NEVER change queen! also- the bar tender Alex we quickly became friends with. He was so nice and it was probably a stressful night of work since not a lot of people were working, our server at the bistro around 9 on Valentine’s was also nice- again they were short staffed and he still took the time to talk with us. If we come back to Seattle we will never stay anywhere else!!

Nice stay. Nice clean room. We had no view/ brick wall of abandoned building but room was on points. Valet/ parking was $101 for a game night Sunday..ridiculous! Walking distance to Pike Place, Underground tours waterfront. Employees were all friendly. Great desserts in the attached dining room. Only complaint was parking fees. Felt safe at night walking home from waterfront.
