Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Downtown

We had a fantastic weekend stay at the Courtyard San Diego! Even though we checked in late around 9 PM, the staff was incredibly accommodating. When I asked about a city-view room and was even willing to pay extra, they upgraded us at no additional cost, which was such a pleasant surprise. Valet parking was excellent and very attentive. While we were waiting for our car at the coffee shop inside the hotel, the valet staff actually came to get us, which really showed how thoughtful and well-organized the service is. The room was spacious, lovely, and very comfortable. Overall, the service, atmosphere, and attention to detail made our stay truly enjoyable. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Diego!

Shout out to Lisa and Corin who helped us get into a nice room after moving from another hotel. Historic location in an old bank with original artifacts still in the building! Check out the hotel pictures. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is centrally located. The sirens and sounds of the city tram are hard to avoid, even if you're on the top level. If you're a light sleeper, I advise requesting an interior room that doesn't have a window to the street or staying a bit outside of Gaslamp (eg. Little Italy) which is only a mile away and easily accessible by foot or other transportation. The Gaslamp district has city noise all day and night. ||The hotel has a coin laundry, breakfast (menu, no buffet), restaurant and coffee bar. There's also a 711 convenience store next to the hotel. T

I stayed for seven nights in total, and the overall experience was decent. However, what was truly unbearable was the overwhelming smell from the bathroom—it smelled like sewage, and you could even smell it from the bed.

Whatever you look for in a Hotel for an amazing stay, Courtyard San diego downtown has it. The location is amazing, you are literally in the heart of downtown and can enjoy the calm walks during the day and parties during the evening. The interiors are beautiful, you will love every corner of this old historic bank / hotel and be in awe of its beauty. Want to specially thank 2 of their team members, Max and Josue, who made our stay at the hotel extra comfortable, memorable. Their hospitality was amazing and they took extra care considering we had a 2 yr old with us.

This is a great hotel. The building is historic and it has been converted well. The lobby is so amazing. Our room and bathroom was a nice size. The neighborhood is not bad. Very walkable and near all the public transportation, I took the trolley to UCSD La Jolla campus in under an hour. Staff was extremely nice and helpful especially the valet guys. Would stay here again!
