Courtyard by Marriott New York Manhattan/Fifth Avenue

I'm gonna be generous and give this hotel five stars based on the location alone. The best of the city is within easy walking distance. Room was small with tiny bathroom. The thermostat in my room was frustrating to use, it's a touch screen that was temperamental at best. There is no food in the hotel but there's food available near the hotel. Staff was friendly enough.

I'm loyal to Marriott properties, unless there's a reason to look elsewhere... notable hotel, location, etc. They have a great website that makes it easy to find what you are looking for. Preferred a hotel in this area and noticed that they had a good price and didn't have an added nightly amenity fee (these added fees are becoming maddening... just charge what you need to charge, incorporate this "fee" in the room price). They can't charge the fee as they don't have a restaurant. This hotel has no amenities, other than a pretty good coffee/latte/etc. machine on the mezzanine that actually wasn't bad. However, this is NYC, there are a ton of places within a couple of blocks. ||So, consider it a no frills place... just a room. However, the location was great for me. The rooms are sm

Got a great price for two nights so went with it. All staff we encountered were pleasant. The free coffee and water bottle filler on the Mezzanine floor are a nice touch. |Rooms - room was clean and comfortable...also small which is to be expected in NYC. Bathroom is in dire need of updating. |Location was great - right in Midtown, across the street from the NY Public Library. Grand Central, Bryant Park, Times Sq. all an easy walk away. |Would stay there again if the price is right.

The room was clean but it is aged. One of the elevators is broken so we had to wait for a long time for the lift.  They provided coffee and water in the lounge area so that is good and free.

Just returned from a 4 night stay and would definitely stay here again! Clean, towels refreshed and beds made daily, and close to everything midtown has to offer!! Staff were friendly and helpful. Elevators were quick and secure with key card access required to use!
