Courtyard by Marriott New Braunfels River Village

As a repeat guest of the Courtyard by Marriott New Braunfels River Village, I've had the pleasure of watching this property evolve, and the recent remodel has been nothing short of a night-and-day transformation. The updated rooms are excellent: fresh, bright, and impeccably clean. It's clear that real care and attention went into the renovation, and it has completely elevated the stay experience. I also want to give a special shoutout to Kendall at the front desk. She always seems to be there to greet me when I check in, and her warmth and kindness never go unnoticed. She's genuinely personable in a way that puts you at ease the moment you walk through the door. There's something reassuring about being welcomed by someone like her. Terrible experience! Do not book. The hotel is under construction, and the crews start at 8:30 am and end at 6:00 pm. Even on the weekends. Drilling, hammering and jack hammering all day! No mention of this at check in. They just stuck us in a room surrounded by rooms under construction. We ventured out to the pool to escape the noise only to find large cranes and more construction.||Yes, the remodel is needed. Bathrooms have mold, showers leak, carpets are gross. This whole experience shows how the owners care more about their profits than their guests. We will never stay at this hotel again.||PS- I did not complain at the front desk, because those that did became even more frustrated with the lack of concern.

Positive: spacious room and the outdoor area had a pool and access to a creek Negative: the bed was very uncomfortable. Courtyard is supposed to have nice beds but this mattress was unusually stiff and I would not stay here again unless the bedding is improved.

Ms. Kendall, Ms. Amber and Mr. Isaiah went above and absolutely beyond for our stay. We had our small wedding ceremony here and stayed one night prior. They took all my wishes and requests and just completely delivered the best service and made my wedding day PERFECT. I used to work in hotels so I know that they weren't wanting to tell us that they accidentally gave our original room away. (I booked far in advance and didnt make sure I got the room, and from personal experience, I know these things happen) but I could tell that that was what happened, however, they ended up giving us the room I originally loved in the first place, and it was absolutely perfect. The hotel was fine for a short stay, but overall it was just average and didn’t quite meet expectations for a Courtyard by Marriott. The room was clean and comfortable, but nothing really stood out in terms of service, amenities, or overall experience. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I was disappointed by the lack of recognition or appreciation—there were no perks, upgrades, or acknowledgment, which made the stay feel no different than booking anywhere else. If you’re loyal to the Bonvoy program and value those benefits, you may want to consider another Marriott location.
