Courtyard by Marriott Miami Beach South Beach

The best part about this hotel is its location and price. Right on Washington Avenue, it is in the center of it all. Lincoln road to the north, Espanola Way to the south, and a short <10 minute walk to the beach via 14th Pl alley. When booking during the busy holiday season, the rate was around $200 a night plus a $29 resort fee. With the notion that a car is unnecessary in the extremely walkable district, the rate is amazing, especially when comparing it to the other hotels in the area. You can take the 150 bus from MIA that will drop you off a block away from the hotel. Miami is always a great choice for celebrating a birthday, so my twin and I decided to do just that. We picked this location because it's so convenient being close to all the must-see spots.||I really enjoyed the complimentary drink each day, the $29 food credit, and the two beach chairs. Plus, the beautiful pool terrace is so relaxing. I definitely look forward to staying here again! The staff provided excellent service all 4 days.

I have Marriott titanium status with 80+ nights a year. My loyalty to the brand is due to a consistently great experience. Unfortunately, my stay at this property was not so great. Our room was spotless but had a strange baby powder incense odor, at times there was a lack of hot water and water pressure, only one elevator was in service, and the only way to access the rooftop pool was to use emergency exit stairs. Also, the resort fee includes a free alcoholic “drink of the day.” I don’t drink alcohol and the bartender informed me I couldn’t instead receive a free soda. On the bright side, the location is great, front desk and morning breakfast staff was super friendly and Marcus, one of the operation managers, patiently listened to our concerns and seemed genuinely interested in learning

I had an amazing stay. First I was able to check into my room when I arrived at 1:30 and everyone was so nice and hospitable. The room was perfect, clean and the bed was incredibly soft and the hotel had a wonderful aromatic scent. Most hotels in South Beach don't have elevators and if they do they are slow and don't work well or feel like a death trap unlike the Courtyard Marriott who has two working elevators. The front desk staff was very friendly even gave us welcome bags with snacks in them. Breakfast was included in my meal but there was some kind of mix up where I was inadvertently charged but the manager cleared it up right away without any issues. The location of this hotel is great, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing, mainly due to staff issues. As a Platinum member, we received the $29 daily credit, but the way it was handled—especially by the kitchen staff—was very poor. Communication was a major problem, as the kitchen staff did not speak English and could barely understand us, which made even simple interactions frustrating. Instead of being helpful, the attitude felt dismissive and unwelcoming. The room was also not clean upon arrival. While housekeeping did come on the second day, they failed to leave clean towels, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this category. Overall, despite the excellent location, the service and cleanliness issues overshadowed everything else. I will not be staying at this
