Courtyard by Marriott Lake George

This is my second time here and though the room rates are a little more than some of the budget places I received an excellent, clean room on both my stays . If what you pay for is cheap maybe there’s a reason . The staff is friendly and helpful & I was traveling solo this time and very weary . The bed was a tad hard- my only complaint ..the bathroom doesn’t have a magnifying mirror but I love the excellent lighting and room for lots of toiletries. Grab bar in shower (with a tub!).. excellent water pressure & temperature. I did bring my own magnifying mirror just in case . The room was very clean & full of amenities. A large closet , the refrigerator & microwave were very helpful . The make your own coffee in room was excellent !! I bought a small milk and kept it in the fridge for my coff

My stay was amazing, I was here due to the snow storm and I have nothing bad to say about my stay. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfy. I also loved that the temperature in the room was to my liking. The staff was extremely nice and helpful, especially Katie the night auditor and the Front desk supervisor with the awesome looking hat. The food at Charlie's restaurant was good.

I am a Marriott Bonvoy member and generally enjoy staying at Marriott hotels, as they consistently offer great service and comfort. This hotel is located right on the main street, with an excellent location just steps from the lake. We stayed there on a Monday, during the off-season, so the hotel was almost empty, which made the experience very quiet and relaxing. Our room was very nice and clean, and everything was well maintained. One thing we really appreciated was the bar located in the lobby. The bartender was extremely friendly and welcoming. Even though the restaurant was closing soon, they still served us, which we truly appreciated. Beautiful location directly across the street from Lake George. Bar, restaurant, pool and free parking available behind the hotel. My room was a 2 bedroom and 2 bath with a pull out couch and a balcony with high top furniture. Excellent facilities and the staff were very helpful. The bathrooms were spacious and very clean with shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. No complaints about my room as it fit a family of four no problem. I was attending a wedding and they accommodated my family with an early check in at 1pm with no additional cost. A definite must when visiting Lake George NY.

Rooms are pretty basic for the money; but it's a great location, so I suppose that and the time of year are what you pay for. Showers are not impressive...water gets everywhere with the half-doors. Paper-thin walls...kids running up and down hallways and around rooms--can hear everything (but that's any hotel in Lake George). Biggest issue was the big bright green blinking light that went off every few seconds ALL NIGHT LONG. Smoke detector? Not sure...made it almost impossible to get a good night's sleep. Was able to ignore it if I covered my head with the blankets.
