Courtyard by Marriott Cedar City

I wanted to thank the sales team and how much they helped us out with our meeting at the hotel. When I called and explained what we needed they were great in asking the right questions so our event went great. The signing process online was easy and the prices were fantastic. We were just so happy with the sales team and when we have another meeting this will be the first hotel we call.

Our stay at this hotel was great the first night; however, the second night was extremely disruptive. We were not informed that a drill team would be staying at the hotel, and as a result, we were kept up most of the night. At 10:45 p.m., we called the front desk to ask about a curfew and were told it was supposed to be 10:30 p.m. While the hallway activity finally settled around 11:00 p.m., we continued to hear loud talking from the rooms next to us and above us. We left the TV on in an attempt to drown out the noise. We eventually fell asleep around 3:00 a.m., only to be woken again at 5:00 a.m. by yelling and doors slamming. Definitely needs some upgrading. The hotel opened in 2017 and it is showing its age. The exterior is decent but the interior is getting worn out. The patio pillows are torn or have no covers. The couch in my room had stains on it. The ventilation ducting in my room had dust and dirt on them. The furniture is old. It really needs an update. I give it a 3.5 to 4. However, if I had to I would stay here again because it is the better of the hotels in the area. That is not saying much though. Cedar City does not have a lot to offer for hotels.

Hotel is very nice with modern decor. Check in staff was very nice and helpful. Bed was comfortable, walls are very thin we could hear the people above walking/running. The room was great with a small sofa, microwave and a mini refrigerator. The restroom in room 234 needs a really good scrub down, glass door was dirty so was the floor and wall inside. Yellow scummy stuff on the lower wall. Housekeeping was not friendly at all. Overall our stay was great. Lots of hiking trails near by which is the reason we like staying in Cedar City.

My experience with the hotel so far has been the Sunday morning breakfast buffet. It remains to be wonderful in every way. The food is always well prepared and presented. I love the way that certain items on the menu are changed on a weekly basis with salads being just one of them. Today’s offerings also worth noting were the Belgium waffles with a mixed berry compote. Fabulous. The staff are always kind, considerate and polite. Guests who join in this experience should be more understanding of others in this industry. This hotel does a remarkable job with this endeavor, always. Thank you.
