Courtyard by Marriott Bryan College Station

I booked the Courtyard in Bryan College Station, TX. twice now, each for one night at a time, and was pretty satisfied with my stay. The property is clean and pretty, theres a pool & hot tub, outdoor seating, patios in some rooms, a gym, business center, cafe, and ice machines on every floor. Breakfast is not free unfortunately. The rooms were comfortable & clean. You can tell they haven’t been updated in a long time, but they are still are still nice considering. There’s a microwave & mini-fridge in the rooms as well as a Keurig coffee machine. The towels & washcloths were well stocked. The pool & hot tub were both very clean. Everything went well during my stay.

Upon entering my room, I noticed an overwhelming musty odor and immediately requested a change. While the front desk staff responded promptly, the new room had the same issue. The odor was so strong it made it difficult to rest. The lighting was poor, the wallpaper appeared discolored, and the vents and room overall did not seem well cleaned. Most concerning, the toiletries in the sink area had clearly been used. This property needs major attention to cleanliness and maintenance.

The staff who greeted us and checked us in were warm and efficient. The lobby was very spacious and decorated nicely. It made the rest of the hotel halls, elevators and bathrooms look old and in need of care. The room was pleasant enough but nothing special. We would stay again for a quick visit.

It's hard to miss with Marriott. Rooms are super clean. Over the Christmas holiday weekend it was very quiet. Our room had a little balcony and chairs. It looked over the pool and hot tub below. Rooms have a frig and microwave. The only problem we had was the toilet. It was very low and no rail to support getting up and down. For most people this wouldn't be an issue. But for an older person, it might be.

Horrible Experience — I Want a Refund! I’m a longtime Marriott Bonvoy member, and I’ve never stayed at a property this neglected and rundown. Honestly, it felt more like a cheap highway motel than a Marriott. The room was extremely outdated and dirty — I was shocked the moment I walked in. The bathroom was disgusting. There were stains on the walls, peeling wallpaper, mold on the showerhead, rusted pipes, and discolored shower panels where you could even see the screws. It made me question if the room had been cleaned at all. For $150 a night, this was beyond unacceptable. I expected Marriott quality, not this level of neglect. I left feeling completely disappointed and honestly ripped off. I want a refund for this stay — it was not worth the money or the Marriott name. Lastly, I paid f
