Courtyard by Marriott Brunswick

We stayed on December 26, 2025. When we git to the room the a/c was off. We turned it in and only hot air was blowing. We could not fix it. Went to front desk because they would not answer the phone. Receptionist came to the room said we needed to click on “cool” and left. 10 min later the a/c went off and would not turn back on. We spent a terrible night sweating and they would not change the room. In the morning before we checked out and we went to the manager because we neded to shower but the temperature was really hot, she sent a tech and he confirmed not working. After that manager simply asked me what were we expecting for her to do. I was so disappointed that Mariott would have such terrible service. This hotel is new, very clean, and overall quite nice. I spoke with one of the housekeeping staff members, and she was both pleasant and professional.||I’m giving three stars because it’s the first accommodation I’ve encountered that requires people to request a key to use the restroom. I wasn’t staying at the hotel, and I understand they may have their reasons. There’s a large Tesla charging station behind the property, so I imagine they get a lot of non-guests stopping in to use the facilities.||While I empathize with why this policy exists, I still feel it’s a helpful courtesy for establishments like this to allow public restroom access when possible.

I'd ignore all the bad reviews. Newly renovated, clean, smells great, good vibes. Its one of the better spots if your choosing Marriott. And the Gyms got what you need to get a little pump in.

Review for Courtyard by Marriott Checked in around 9 PM and was unnecessarily asked for my phone number. I don’t like giving out personal info when it’s not needed, especially since my Marriott account already has one on file. The reasoning was “what if we need to contact you?”—I’m literally staying in the room, call the room phone. I’m a Lifetime Gold and 9-year Platinum member and have never been asked this before. Hotel issues: 1. The 3rd-floor hallway flooring is very odd—uneven and a clear trip hazard. Dragging luggage over it was difficult and felt cheap. 2. Water pressure in the shower is ridiculously strong with no way to adjust it. The showerhead feels cheap and unusable for kids. We had a 1-year-old and a 4-year-old who were about to cry because of it, but we had just come from
