Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Windy Hill/Ballpark

Do not book with Marriott. They canceled my reservation a week before. Customer service was rude and disrespectful and did not care about my inconvenience. They were unwilling to offer any sort of compensation for my inconvenience.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS HOTEL. Reservation was cancelled via email only hours before check in time. Was told hotel is closed for renovations. Other reviews shared the same thing happened but those reviews are over 2 years old. Others have shared that the hotel really cancelled with no notice for overbooking and using renovations as a false excuse.

My stay was for seven days for a business trip. The staff was very professional and courteous. The room was comfortable and clean. Any needs I had were responded to quickly. The breakfast was great and loved having Starbucks every morning. It was quiet and I felt safe which is always a concern when traveling alone. There were many areas near by to shop and it was convenient to restaurants. Will definitely stay again in the future when in the area.

The day before our arrival I woke up to an email confirming the cancelation of my reservation. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with a very helpful agent and my reservation was reinstated. I wasn't given a clear explanation but the agent suggested that it was canceled by the hotel (not the Marriott system). When I arrived I was told that I had reserved two rooms. We had two mysterious calls to the room and heard only a dial tone (interestingly, the agent who checked me out had two hang up calls at the front desk while I was standing there). The air conditioner was very loud and 'clunked' on and off so we didn't sleep well. In the morning we looked forward to a simple breakfast but they were out of eggs, bacon, and fruit so basically couldn't serve anything on the menu (except oatmeal). I ex

They had our suite ready early. Went in to examine every thing and do extra cleaning. Turned the bed covers down and noticed hair and crumbs at the bottom of the sheet. The manager was very nice and got us another room. Went to that room and it was occupied! Wow! Another sweet lady at the desk got another room for us. Thank God it was the best one. It had a bigger bathroom and everything was a little more updated. The suite was spacious and well appointed with refrigerator and microwave. Overall after all that it was a nice stay and hotel is close to everything. Would still recommend. Nowadays work ethic isn't what it used to be. You will have to clean your room if you want it done right
