Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Williamsburg East (Busch Gardens), VA

This hotel is close to the historical area which was very good. Although the people there were as helpful as they could be, we had several issues. The fridge was broken when we got there and they brought another one but did not remove the one that was defrosting and soaking the carpet. We could not move to another room as we needed the shower for my daughter and this was the only handicapped room available. We were there for a full week and we mentioned it a couple of times on our way out but it was always still there on our return. We had to turn the AC down to cold and spray Ozium in the air everyday when we returned to reduce the wet smell. On the last day, the maintenance man came in to try and get some of the wet out of the carpet. I asked why they had not removed the broken

I was really impressed with my stay here! The housekeeping was absolutely top-notch—my room was spotless, and it felt like every detail had been carefully attended to. While there were some areas in the hotel where it looked like they were updating furniture or doing minor construction, it didn’t affect my stay at all. Considering the price point, the cleanliness and overall attention to detail went well above and beyond my expectations. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable, well-maintained stay!

Positive: It was very close to the amusement park we were in town to visit. Negative: The mattress springs were broken/lopsided on half the bed. The sink drained slowly and the bathroom vent did not work. It was very steamy after showers and smelly after bathroom usage. The TV did not work upon arrival, but maintenance fixed it.

We stayed here for a long weekend to visit the area and Busch Gardens. Great location- easy to get to everything. The room was clean and well maintained. It was nice to have two queen beds instead of doubles. The hotel overall was clean and updated. The only improvement we could see would be to enhance the free breakfast. The offerings were typically scrambled eggs, sausage and/or bacon and an assortment of bread and bagels and some muffins. The hot foods were fresh and well made. The waffle batter was usually nearly empty (a testament to everyone loving the waffles!). Adding some fruit or pastries to the mix would be a welcome addition. The juice machine was struggling during our visit- OJ that was a little too concentrated and the apple juice ran out. Even still- the breakfast was good

Went for president’s weekend and arrived hours before check-in time but staff was so friendly and accommodating and was able to get my son and I into a room right away. We were so thankful as we had been on the road for 6 hours at that point. Rooms are clean and while you can definitely tell the hotel is aging, the new owners are doing their best to spruce up the place. Free hot breakfast was great even though the selection was limited. It was still delicious. It was right down the street from Busch Gardens which was convenient for us. Would 100% stay here again! Also, there is a Tesla charger that guests can use, but they did not have an adapter that I could see for non Tesla owners who need a charge. Would’ve loved to have charged my plug in hybrid jeep.
