Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, El Dorado, AR

I've stayed here twice within the last 5 months. Once for my father in law's memorial service, and once to visit family. The first time I stayed was great. Super pleasant staff, suite was clean and didn't have any issues. Second time wasn't as great. The second time, I stayed in just a regular room instead of a suite. Linens on the second room's bed had small blood stains left on the top sheets. I ended up buying my own blankets to use that evening instead. Both times of staying here were just fine, but we've decided to start using a different hotel for family visits based solely off of the stain situations.

We were there on a Saturday evening and the place was nearly empty. Initially it looked liked the place was clean but upon checking in we thought it odd with lots of signs of rules and regulations regarding smoking, partying and cash deposits for locals and it had us wonder what kind of folks were coming into the hotel. When we got into our room the carpet was extremely spotted and dirty. The bed was clean but the mattress was very very firm and not a good night’s sleep as we hoped. The breakfast was good and the attendant taking care of it was very nice and had it very organized so that was a plus but another odd thing upon checking out was a jar with sanitizing liquid on counter for people to put their card room keys into and that was the first time we had seen that in our 40 years of

The room was clean, tv worked, fridge was cold, bed was hard, pillows were perfect for me but hubby likes bigger ones and the shower….what can I say…..it was nice and hot and the power behind it was great…came out hot and forcefully. I would stay here again just for the shower lol. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment, eggs, biscuits, chicken strips and white gravy with very small pieces of scrambled sausage in it other then that it was the normal waffles and cereal, no bacon or ham or link sausage available. We slept good I guess…hubby says I snored all night even though my inspire was on and active. lol all in all yes we would definitely stay here again.

When we walked in there was instant attitude from the front desk employee. I told her my husband had a service dog and she replied “animals ain’t allowed” I said no ma’am he’s a service dog. She said well that’s up to my manager to decide when she’s here in the morning. I told her the website stated service dogs allowed and it’s actually a law that they’re accepted. We got to our room key went in to the room and half the lights wouldn’t come on and the AC did not work. I went down to the office and told her what was going on and she put us in another room. After that I went down to ask if they have fans bc it was so hot in the room even with the ac on. She then told me there’s no fans that are allowed to go to the rooms and asked if I wanted a refund. We checked in and went to room and the sign said elevator was out. Got to room and the door was real loose, walls wre cracked, floor was warped and unlevel. So we did not feel comfortable staying so we decided to not stay. So we asked for refund and the lady at front desk said we had to call Choice themselves so I did and the started a complaint and said the hotel itself would have to return my money. So we are waiting to here back from the hotel in El Dorado Arkansas
