Coronado Motel

My husband and I are in town for work and we found this gem. Not only is it part of Pueblo history but it also was the location for a scene in National Lampoons Vacation so that’s a fun fact for movie buffs like us. There is an onsite coin laundry so you don’t have to leave the property to do your wash. Charles the ground keeper is always out and about tending to the beautiful landscape and making sure there is not a piece of trash in site. The neighbors are very kind and hang out to socialize in the courtyard where there are tables, a grill and even a beautiful fountain. If you’re very in Pueblo and need a great place to stay for a week or as long as you need I highly recommend the Coronado Motel. The quality and price can’t be beat.

The Coronado is a refreshing break from the motel chain same-o same-o. Off the beaten path, the whole property has obviously been lovingly maintained for decades and someone with an artistic hand has enhanced walls, doorways, windows, and walls ... inside and out. (When I walked into my room, I thought someone had left the window open, then realized the window was painted onto the wall.) The thick adobe-style walls enveloped me in silence, even with a family with several very young children next door. The vigas (open ceiling beams) and all the woodwork was varnished to a high gloss and the room was immaculate. Traveled here for my boyfriends job, stayed three months, rooms were super comfortable and kitchen was great!! Joe the landlord and staff are very helpful definitely recommend!!!

Am here for a short-term work contract, and I honestly love the place. I got a one bedroom studio, living room, pretty spacious, and the bathroom was remodeled, so it's brand new.The landlord is very accommodating, helpful, and friendly. Any issues I have (very few) gets fixed right away by the staff. The area is quiet. I think it's a pretty good place. I've made it home away from home.

We're here for my husband's work, and this place has been wonderful! It's quiet and drama free for the most part. It's not overpriced for what you're getting. Maintenance is constantly working, keeping things clean, fixed, and as dirt free as possible. The owner genuinely cares that you're comfortable and enjoy your stay. I highly recommend this place if you're working and need a home away from home.
