Congress Hotel South Beach

The host of the condo did not submit my reservation to the receptionist. Also the condo smelled like mold.

My family and I stayed here for my birthday weekend and we had a very good time. We were treated very nicely. The rooftop pool was a little dirty and the water gets hot from the sun but it's nice to cool you off a little from the heat outside. The drinks weren't that great, the rooms were very clean and nice. I loved the bathtub. The service was top notch

Location, location, location. If want to be right by the water in the heart of South Beach. This is the place. The rooms were large and comparable to a suite. The hotel has a true party vibe so don’t expect a quite resort style experience. I would of gave it 5 stars, if not for a few reasons. The rooms in general could of been cleaner. The mattress in my room was old and needed to be replaced, the fridge didn’t work & house keeping was non existent. Even when I went to ask for a few more towels (Twice) I never received them... Overall it is a place for those wanting a party vibe! With that being said my overall experience was still great & I enjoyed my time in South Beach.

If I could give this hotel a zero rating, I would. I stayed on the dates of 5/19-5/22. Upon arrival things went downhill...The lady at the customer service desk was completely rude and so not helpful. She stated that I couldn't have a receipt nor proof of my stay..and that I should call the number. No number was provided. Nor did I receive my deposit, its been well over a week. I have no one to speak to. The cleanliness is a Zero. I brought my own cleaning products and had to clean myself. Soap scum and mold took over the tub and the roof of the bathroom. The A/C unit was leaking water. Bugs surrounding the parameters of the hotel room. Elevators were slow. Housekeeping? there was no housekeeping. This made my vacation feel like not such a vacation. Total chaos.

Overall stay was great, room service only switched towels not much cleaning done considering we stayed a week. Resort fee was unexpected since we paid in advance. The response given it was a City of Miami charge and they could not control it, they should've been more upfront as it was paid 6 months in advance. Those fees aren't going into security as numerous homeless people were in front of the building asking for money and selling drugs, which almost resulted in a fight when one of them grabbed my wife with the hotel security there and didn't do anything out of fear!
