Commodore Resort Hotel

If I could give this place a negative star review, I absolutely would! They are nothing but terrible to their customers. My husband and I and two of our friends booked a room for a weekend in August back in May but unfortunately had to cancel our reservation. I called the hotel and they are the ONLY hotel I’ve EVER heard of that won’t take cancellations over the phone - they refused to cancel over the phone and said I had to email the manager (they also gave me the incorrect email so I had to look it up myself) and there was no other way to cancel other than that. So I emailed the manager immediately after I got off the phone and requested a cancellation… IN TIME according to the cancellation policy might I add. Doubt I’ll get an email to ask to rate them. Asked to check in early and I saw the cleaners smoking cigarettes as they were actively pulling out sheets. Landlord special overpainting all over the entire room. It made it look like the light was pulled down and hastily put back up. Ants crawling all over the corner of the desk in the room (in October!) Black ink(?) on my pillow case. And I took a shower, dried off my feet, went to put on socks and my girlfriend and I saw that our feet were entirely black with dirt! We rewashed our feet and checked the floors to only find it came from the floors as if they haven’t been washed all season! I would never stay here again, and do not recommend! The staff was so rude, at check in time the African American girl behind the counter, was eating, she mumbled and could not stop chewing her food/eating long enough to answer us about a wrong price quote regarding the golf cart we received from Jordyn…the room floor was absolutely filthy dirty, my white socks were black after 10 minutes, the bathroom door had to be slammed shut in order close properly, the walkway from the lobby to our room smelled so bad because of the dumpsters, the pool water was so foggy and pool deck looked like it hadn’t been cleaned all season! Great location, but would not recommend!

BEWARE! Don't be deceived by the pictures on the internet. A total and utter dump. You enter by the Resort (term is a joke!) by way of an alley which is entirely infested with marijuana smell all weekend long. NO HOT water and when asked for iron, never made it to our room. No springs on the bed, just a mattress laid upon steel supports. I get it, an island that people are trying to relax and have a good time, but at least try to accommodate your customers for the price of almost $200.00 per night. Could not even sit for 2 seconds outside of our room because of the abundance of weed smell. Placed in a room staring at a old wood fence looking at a dried empty pool. Never will stay at this place again! Our card to let us in the room even broke in half, good thing we had the other one

Me and my boyfriend stayed overnight at the Commodore hotel and had a good stay. The only thing I did not like was that the mattress was firm. The location is perfect, and there is a subway in the lobby. We would stay here again!
